Job summary

Novotel Bengaluru Outer Ring Road, part of the Accor portfolio, seeks an HVAC Technician to maintain hotel facilities and systems. You will service HVAC equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and respond promptly to guest requests to ensure smooth operations and comfort across guest areas.

The role requires knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration principles, and the ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Bengaluru-based with on-site duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC/R certification preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an HVAC Technician, preferably in hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including electrical, mechanical and refrigeration principles.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting HVAC equipment using diagnostic tools and techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests, colleagues, and vendors.
• Physical ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC, and other areas.
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions and maintenance issues using appropriate tools and techniques, and implement effective solutions.
• Respond to guest requests and internal work orders related to maintenance issues, minimizing disruption.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules with the Engineering Team and complete work efficiently.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and service reports.

Job Description

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain hotel facilities, equipment, fixtures, and general building systems to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks across various areas, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC, and other general maintenance requirements.
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions and maintenance issues using appropriate tools and techniques, and implement effective solutions.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and internal work orders related to maintenance issues, ensuring minimal disruption to hotel operations and guest satisfaction.
• Collaborate with other members of the Engineering Team to coordinate maintenance schedules, prioritize tasks, and complete work efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including maintenance logs, equipment inventory, inspection reports, and service records.
• Ensure all hotel equipment, facilities, and systems are maintained in accordance with operational standards, safety regulations, and applicable requirements.
• Assist in the planning and execution of renovation, repair, and capital improvement projects related to hotel facilities and infrastructure.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment while strictly adhering to hotel policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical assistance and support to junior technicians and other hotel staff as required.
• Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities and equipment to identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with other departments to address maintenance concerns promptly and ensure a comfortable, safe, and pleasant environment for guests and employees.
