Qualifications

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Plastic Surgeon to provide comprehensive surgical and clinical care to patients requiring reconstructive, aesthetic, and restorative procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for patient evaluation, surgical planning and execution, postoperative management, and maintaining high standards of patient safety and clinical care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed consultations, clinical examinations, and pre-operative assessments.
• Diagnose and develop appropriate treatment plans for reconstructive and aesthetic conditions.
• Perform plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgical procedures within the scope of expertise.
• Manage trauma-related soft-tissue injuries, burns, scars, wounds, and congenital deformities as applicable.
• Perform pre-operative counselling, obtain informed consent, and explain expected outcomes and potential risks.
• Provide comprehensive postoperative care and monitor patients for complications.
• Coordinate with anaesthetists, general surgeons, orthopaedic surgeons, dermatologists, oncologists, and other specialists when required.
• Maintain accurate and complete medical records and surgical documentation.
• Follow hospital protocols, infection-control standards, surgical safety procedures, and applicable medical regulations.
• Participate in clinical meetings, audits, training, and quality-improvement initiatives.
• Maintain professional communication with patients and their families and ensure a high standard of patient experience.
• Keep up to date with developments, techniques, and evidence-based practices in plastic and reconstructive surgery.

Qualifications

• MBBS from a recognized medical institution.
• MS/DNB in General Surgery with appropriate specialization/training in Plastic Surgery, or MCh/DNB in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, as applicable.
• Valid registration with the relevant State Medical Council/National Medical Commission as applicable.
• Relevant certifications and fellowships will be an advantage.

Experience

• 3-5 years of post-qualification experience preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in plastic, reconstructive, aesthetic, trauma, or microsurgical procedures as relevant to the role.
