Job summary

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient consultations and clinical examinations.
• Obtain medical history and assess presenting symptoms.
• Diagnose and manage common acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Order and review appropriate laboratory and diagnostic investigations.
• Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications within professional scope.
• Monitor treatment response and modify management when appropriate.
• Recognize and manage medical emergencies or arrange appropriate escalation.
• Coordinate with specialists for complex or referred cases.
• Conduct inpatient rounds where assigned.
• Educate patients regarding medications, lifestyle, diet, and follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and medical documentation.
• Coordinate with nursing, pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, and other departments.
• Follow infection-control, medication-safety, patient-safety, and hospital protocols.
• Participate in clinical audits, health camps, training, and quality-improvement activities.
