Job summary

Suja Shoei Industries is seeking a senior Quality Leader to head the Quality function across manufacturing operations in Tamil Nadu. You will develop and implement quality strategies aligned with customer needs and ensure compliance with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001.

You will drive RCAs, APQP/PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and 8D processes, manage audits, and lead supplier development to reduce quality costs while improving productivity.

Qualifications

• BE or B Tech in Mechanical, Production, Automobile or related engineering discipline.
• 15 to 25 years of experience in Quality Management in the automotive manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 requirements.
• Hands on experience in APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, Control Plan and 8D problem solving.
• Experience in customer quality for automotive OEM and Tier 1 customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the overall Quality function across manufacturing operations.
• Develop and implement quality strategies aligned with business and customer requirements.
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001 and customer specific requirements.
• Drive reduction of customer complaints, PPM, rejection, rework and quality losses.
• Manage customer quality issues and ensure timely closure of 8D and corrective actions.
• Lead APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, SPC and MSA activities for new and existing products.
• Monitor process and product quality through effective quality control systems.
• Lead internal, customer, supplier and certification audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
• Develop and strengthen supplier quality management and supplier improvement activities.
• Drive root cause analysis, CAPA, Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Establish and monitor quality KPIs and prepare periodic management reports.
• Work closely with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, NPD and Supply Chain teams to achieve quality targets.
• Develop and implement quality standards, procedures, work instructions and inspection systems.
• Ensure effective implementation of process controls and product traceability.
• Drive quality cost reduction and improve overall manufacturing efficiency.
• Lead and develop the Quality team through training, skill development and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and customer specific quality requirements.
• CANDIDATE PROFILE: 15-25 years of experience, automotive rubber components may be preferred.

Preferred Candidate Profile

BE or B Tech in Mechanical, Production, Automobile or related engineering discipline

Additional qualification in Quality Management will be preferred

15 to 25 years of experience in Quality Management in the automotive manufacturing industry

Strong experience in rubber products, rubber moulding, O Rings, Oil Seals or metal bonded rubber products

Experience in handling customer quality for automotive OEM and Tier 1 customers

Strong knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 requirements

Hands on experience in APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, Control Plan and 8D problem solving

Experience in customer complaint handling and quality improvement projects

Strong knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies

Experience in internal, customer, supplier and certification audits

Experience in supplier quality management and supplier development

Strong leadership and team management skills

Good analytical, communication and problem solving skills

Ability to lead quality improvement initiatives across multiple manufacturing functions

Candidates from automotive rubber component manufacturing companies will be preferred
