Job summary

Aakash Polyfilms Ltd. seeks an experienced Plant Engineering leader to set strategic E&I direction for reliability, automation, safety, energy efficiency and capital investments across the plant.

Responsibilities include defining targets, overseeing lifecycle plans, and driving improvements through CAPEX/OPEX planning, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance. Preference for hands-on experience with BOPET/BOPP lines and OEM equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience in strategic engineering leadership for a manufacturing plant.
• Asset management experience for process equipment.
• Familiarity with BOPET/BOPP lines is a plus.

• Set annual and long-range E&I reliability targets, asset lifecycle plans, technical standards and succession plans.
• Review breakdown trends, major incident investigations, shutdown effectiveness and plant-wide improvement programs.
• Own automation modernization, obsolescence planning, system backup/recovery and cybersecurity priorities.
• Lead engineering inputs to new lines and expansions; oversee specifications, FAT/SAT, commissioning, CAPEX and major OEM contracts.
• Lead OPEX/CAPEX planning, vendor strategy, energy reduction and performance reviews.
• Build leadership capability and ensure electrical safety, audit readiness and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

Strategy and plant performance

• Set annual and long-range E&I reliability targets, asset lifecycle plans, technical standards and succession plans.
• Review breakdown trends, major incident investigations, shutdown effectiveness and plant-wide improvement programs.

Automation, capital projects and commercial

• Own automation modernization, obsolescence planning, system backup/recovery and cybersecurity priorities.
• Lead engineering inputs to new lines and expansions; oversee specifications, FAT/SAT, commissioning, CAPEX and major OEM contracts.

Governance, energy and people

• Lead OPEX/CAPEX planning, vendor strategy, energy reduction and performance reviews.
• Build leadership capability and ensure electrical safety, audit readiness and regulatory compliance.
