Job summary

Grand Mercure Bengaluru at Gopalan Mall is seeking a Maintenance Technician to assist the Engineering team in the care and maintenance of hotel equipment and systems. You will help ensure the performance and reliability of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing facilities while upholding hotel safety standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with a trade certificate or at least 1 year of hands-on maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• Trade certificate or minimum 1 year hands-on experience in general maintenance.
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems; familiarity with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Engineer to identify major facilities and equipment requirements for the department and property.
• Ensure correct maintenance of all equipment in conjunction with other user departments.
• Maintain quality of work to meet hotel standards.
• Follow policies and procedures of the hotel.
• Report matters that may affect Grand Mercure Bengaluru at Gopalan Mall to Management.

Job Description

• Assist the Engineering Supervisor & other team members of Engineering in maintenance and care of all the equipment.
• Maintain quality of work in order to meet the standards.
• To control and check all the equipment.
• Ensure to work according to the policies and procedures of the hotel.
• Ensure to handle and maintain all equipments properly.
• Any matter which may effect the interests of Grand Mercure Bengaluru at Gopalan Mall should be brought to the attention of the Management.
• To abide by the mission statement of the Company and of the department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Chief Engineer to identify the major facilities and equipment requirements for the department and the property.
• Ensure correct maintenance of all equipment in conjunction with the other user departments & stay abreast of technological advances in surveillance & safety of equipment.

People Management

• Establish and maintain seamless co-ordination & co-operation with all departments of Grand Mercure Bengaluru at Gopalan Mall to ensure maximum cooperation, productivity, morale and guest service.
• Provide effective support to the team to enable them to deliver effective and efficient services.
• Respond to queries by resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner.
• Motivate and develop the team to ensure smooth functioning of the department.

Additional Information
