The post requires 5+ years in R2R/general ledger accounting, strong Excel and SAP knowledge, and excellent English communication. Mumbai-based only, 11AM–8PM shift.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Independently handle month-end close for EMEAI entities.
• Finalize up to the preparation of financial statements.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, MIS and bank reconciliations.
• Analyze trial balance, correct and post adjusting entries.
• Coordinate audits with auditors and in-house teams for interim/statutory audits.
• Review and approve invoices/expenses; post journal entries.
• Maintain fixed asset register and monthly reconciliation.
• Prepare reports and financial analysis for managers in EMEA/USA.

ISS STOXX is actively hiring a General Ledger Accountant for the Mumbai (Goregaon East) location. This role is open for candidates based in Mumbai only. Shift timings would be 11AM to 8 PM. Overview: As a General Ledger Accountant, ISS is seeking a highly driven and skilled professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing accounting activities for the EMEA and India region, with a strong focus on daily financial operations and month‑end close processes. You will ensure timely and accurate recording of transactions and collaborate closely with the finance team to meet critical month‑end timelines. This opportunity is ideal for experienced accounting professionals, and we also welcome applications from recently qualified CA / ACCA candidates with relevant practical training exposure.

Responsibilities

• Independently handle month-end close for EMEAI entities.
• Finalization up to the preparation of financial statements
• Prepare Balance sheet reconciliation, MIS and bank reconciliations.
• Ability to analyse trial balance, look for corrections and make the necessary adjusting entries.
• Independently handling audits, coordinating with the auditors and several inhouse teams for interim audit as well as statutory audit of EMEAI entities.
• Reviewing & approving invoices, and expenses, Posting & processing journal entries in the accounting system.
• Create & maintain fixed asset register in the accounting system and prepare monthly reconciliation for the same.
• Can handle projects, prepare reports and financial analysis as requested by managers from EMEA/USA, Knowledge of Indian accounting compliances and direct and indirect taxes.
• Ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or relevant field along with Inter-CA.
• 5+ years of experience in R2R, entity controllership, or General Ledger Accounting.
• Recently qualified CA / ACCA candidates (including those with articleship or mandatory practical training) are welcome to apply.
• Excellent knowledge of Outlook & MS Excel (Lookup, Pivots, basic formulas)
• Experience in SAP is preferred.
• Experience in fixed asset reconciliation, depreciation, compiling data for statutory auditors, Accounts finalization & month-end close process.
• Good command of the English language (Speaking and Writing)
