George Cox Ltd is seeking a General Construction Operative for full-time work across the North West. The role involves paving, kerbing, laying tarmac and drainage works within civil engineering projects at our Farnworth and Stockport depots. You will join a growing operations team and develop through the company.

Essentially you must be 18+, have a CSCS card, and be ready to work as part of a team. Full UK driving licence and NRSWA card are desirable, with opportunities for overtime and career

Job Title

General Construction Operative – Full time, sites across the North West.

Job Summary

We are currently recruiting General Construction Operatives to be based out of our Farnworth and Stockports Depots to support our growing operations team working in the Northwest area. This role will allow the successful candidate to up skill and develop through the company. As an Operative your role will include paving, kerbing, laying tarmac, drainage works and other aspects of road construction and general civil engineering works.

Key Details

• Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent (subject to successful completion of probationary period)
• Working Hours: 39 hours per week Monday - Thursday: 07.00 - 16.00 (inclusive of unpaid breaks) Friday: 07.00 - 15.00 (inclusive of unpaid breaks)
• Renumeration Package: Negotiable (depending on experience)
• Holidays: 29 days annual leave including bank holidays (7 days are to be taken at the Christmas Shutdown)

• Site based role (sites across the North West)
• Depot: Hall Lane, Hall Lane Works, Farnworth, Bolton, BL4 7QF.
• Alvanley Industrial Estate, Stockport Road East, Bredbury, Stockport SK6 2DJ
