Job summary

Hiresome in Mumbai is seeking a dedicated Construction Worker to join our on-site team. The role involves supporting skilled trades, handling materials, operating hand and power tools, and following strict safety protocols to keep everyone safe.

You will read basic blueprints, prepare sites, assist with concrete and asphalt work, and coordinate with supervisors to ensure projects stay on schedule. This is a hands-on position that requires physical stamina and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist skilled tradespersons such as carpenters, masons, electricians, and plumbers.
• Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment.
• Prepare construction sites by cleaning debris, digging trenches, and setting up temporary structures.
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools, including drills, saws, grinders, and compactors.
• Follow all safety procedures and regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Erect and dismantle scaffolding, temporary structures, and barricades.
• Perform site clean-up and maintenance tasks regularly to ensure a safe working environment.
• Assist with the pouring and spreading of concrete, asphalt, and other materials.
• Read and interpret basic blueprints and construction plans to understand project requirements.
• Inspect and maintain tools and equipment, reporting any defects or malfunctions.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding project progress and potential issues.
• Perform other laboring duties as assigned by the site supervisor or project manager.
