Job summary

Hinduja Tech Limited is seeking an experienced engineer to drive GD&T drawing preparation and validation for automotive BIW sheet metal and interior/exterior plastic components.

You will apply GD&T, perform tolerance stack-up analyses (manual and Excel-based), and ensure drawings comply with check sheets and OEM standards. Collaboration with design and manufacturing teams will be essential to maintain high quality across projects.

Qualifications

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced professional with strong expertise in GD&T drawing preparation, checking, and tolerance stack-up analysis for automotive sheet metal (BIW) and plastic (interior and exterior trim) components. The role focuses on manufacturing drawing quality, standards compliance, and functional tolerance validation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and check manufacturing drawings for BIW sheet metal and plastic components
• Apply GD&T principles as per industry standards across all drawings
• Perform tolerance stack-up analysis (manual and Excel-based)
• Ensure drawings meet defined check sheets and customer drawing standards
• Validate manufacturability and functional requirements through proper tolerancing
• Review and approve engineering drawings before release
• Coordinate with design and manufacturing teams for drawing corrections and improvements
• Maintain drawing quality and consistency across projects

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong expertise in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
• Hands-on experience in tolerance stack-up calculations (manual + Excel)
• Deep understanding of automotive drawing standards and check sheets
• Experience in BIW sheet metal and plastic component drawings
• Ability to interpret functional requirements and translate into tolerances
• Strong attention to detail and quality mindset

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience with OEMs like koda Auto or Volkswagen
• Exposure to European automotive drawing standards
• Experience in both interior/exterior trim and BIW domains
