Job summary

Candescent in Bengaluru is seeking a GCP DevOps Engineer II to join a product-focused team. You will enable production readiness for cloud-native services, build CI/CD pipelines, and implement IaC across containers and VMs to support reliable deployments.

The role requires 4–6 years of experience, strong GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, and GitHub Actions skills, plus Terraform and Helm. You will collaborate with product teams to ensure scalable, secure cloud solutions.

Qualifications

• Must-have: GCP in production environments.
• Strong Kubernetes / GKE experience.
• Docker with container build/release patterns.
• CI/CD with GitHub Actions including build, deploy, troubleshooting.
• Terraform (IaC) for infra delivery.
• NGINX + Helm basics and chart usage.
• Solid cloud networking (VPCs, firewall rules).
• Good-to-have: Cloudflare exposure; observability tools like Prometheus/Grafana.
• ArgoCD / GitOps tooling experience is a plus.
• Scripting (Python) and Java/Spring Boot support is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work embedded with product teams to enable safe and repeatable deployments from DEV to PROD, including releases and infrastructure changes.
• Build, improve, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitOps principles.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to deploy services (containers/VMs, secrets, load balancers, certs).
• Act as first responder for production incidents; drive issues to closure with SRE/ROC and development teams.
• Improve operational efficiency by automating repetitive tasks and contributing to self-service frameworks for developers.
• Identify gaps and drive improvements across reliability, scaling, automation, and cost optimization for the product area.
• Partner with architects/platform teams to review architectures and ensure cloud readiness/operational standards.
