Job summary

Cloudxtreme in Hyderabad is seeking a DevOps engineer with 4+ years of experience to automate CI/CD and manage Google Cloud Platform deployments. You will work with the Trading platform operations team to investigate incidents and resolve issues affecting our trading application, both in cloud and on-prem environments.

The role requires strong scripting (Shell/Bash/Groovy), container tech (Docker/Kubernetes), and Terraform for infra as code, plus experience with Ansible and cloud services like

Qualifications

• 4+ years of DevOps experience in cloud environments.
• Strong scripting in Shell/Bash/Groovy and programming in Java/Python.
• Hands-on with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Proficient with Docker and Kubernetes (GKE/Anthos).
• Experience with Ansible and Terraform for infra-as-code.
• Good knowledge of GCP products (Dataflow, BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Cloud Composer).

Responsibilities

• Investigate incidents affecting non-prod applications and resolve issues in cloud and on-prem environments.
• Automate CI/CD and provision/maintain GCP cloud infrastructure using Terraform.
• Monitor system and application logs; triage alerts and implement changes.
• Collaborate with trading platform operations and other stakeholders to ensure reliability.

Job Summary

We are looking for skilled DevOps candidates who are enthusiastic about learning new and existing technologies to deliver exceptional solutions for the resilience of our systems. The role will require a high level of responsibility and accountability. The engineers will investigate incidents reported by the development team, QA engineers and by our monitoring tools and work to resolve the incidents affecting our trading application. You will be closely working with the Trading platform operations team. As a DevOps engineer, he/she must be able to automate the CI/CD, Provision GCP cloud Infra & services using terraform.

Technical Skills:

Must have:

• Good experience in Java/Python programming
• Strong experience in Shell/Bash/Groovy scripting
• Experience in creating and managing CICD pipelines and automating them using any automation tool like Jenkins/GitHub Actions.
• Strong understanding of container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes (GKE/Anthos)
• Working experience with Ansible
• Hands-on experience in any Major Cloud application configuration, deployment, support, and migration - GCP Cloud.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) products, including Dataflow, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Cloud Composer.
• Solid experience using configuration management frameworks (e.g., Ansible/Chef/Puppet)
• Experience with Terraform

Good to have:

• 3-4 years of Spring Boot experience
• Knowledge of networking, including DNS, DHCP, firewalls, load balancers and IP routing
• Experience with OS language Linux administration activities.
• Automation Experience using Ansible Playbooks.
• Experience with environment provisioning and deployment automation (Salt/Chef/Puppet)
• Knowledge of working with Oracle, SQL Server, and Postgres DB.
• Experience with logging/application monitoring tools (AppDynamics, Splunk) and at least 2 yrs of experience in writing Splunk queries to set up dashboards.
• Experience with Jira/Confluence/bitbucket, TeamCity administration activities

Certifications Needed: GCP, which will be a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Evangelize DevOps mindset and solve problems through systematization.
• Proactively detecting, troubleshooting, and resolving all issues affecting non-production applications in cloud and on-premises environments.
• Perform proactive daily system monitoring including reviewing system and application logs.
• Monitor and troubleshooting issues across the entire stack - software, application, and network.
• Triage alerts & diagnosing/resolving critical issues, handling implementation of changes.
• Identify applications reliability and availability improvements, establish, and build solutions to continue to drive an improved experience.
• Coordinate across different stakeholders to establish and manage both internal and external integrations and automate the process along the way.
