Job summary

Candescent is hiring a GCP DevOps Engineer II in Bengaluru to enable production-ready services. You will embed with product teams to deploy reliably, own CI/CD, and maintain IaC with scalable, observable platforms.

Ideal candidates have strong GCP experience, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and GitHub Actions, with a mindset for cost optimization and reliability. Fintech exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Product/fintech domain experience preferred.
• Experience building production-grade cloud deployments and tooling.

Responsibilities

• Embed with product teams to enable safe and repeatable deployments from DEV to PROD.
• Build, improve, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitOps principles and guardrails.
• Develop and maintain IaC to deploy services (containers/VMs, secrets, load balancers) using reusable platform components.
• Act as first responder for production incidents; drive operational concerns to closure with SRE/ROC and dev teams.
• Improve operational efficiency by automating repetitive tasks and creating self-service for developers.
• Identify gaps and drive improvements in reliability, scaling, automation, and cost optimization.
