Job summary

Tekskills Inc. seeks an experienced GCP Cloud DevOps Engineer in Pune to join an agile team focused on building a resilient GCP foundation platform. You will implement IaC, manage cloud services, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable infrastructure.

The role emphasizes security/compliance, change management, and on-call support for 24x7 coverage, with a strong emphasis on communication and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience building a range of Services on a Cloud Service provider (preferably GCP).
• Deep understanding of DevOps principles and Infrastructure as Code concepts/techniques.
• Strong grasp of CI/CD and related tooling.
• Experience configuring SDN within a CSP (VPCs, XPN etc.).
• Security and Compliance, e.g., IAM and cloud auditing/monitoring tools.
• Ability to collaborate with Application teams and cross-functional IT groups.
• Proficiency in at least one language: Python/JavaScript/Java/Ruby/Go/Scala.
• Excellent written and spoken communication; ability to drive change.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage the HSBC GCP foundation platform to enable application deployments.
• Engineer solutions on the GCP foundation platform using Infrastructure As Code methods (e.g. Terraform).
• Integrate, configure, deploy and manage centrally provided common cloud services (e.g. IAM, networking, logging, OS, containers).
• Ensure compliance with centrally defined security requirements.
• Ensure compliance with operational risk standards (e.g. network, firewall, OS, logging, monitoring, availability, resiliency).
• Update support and operational documentation as required.
• Ensure good Change management practices as specified by central standards.
• On a rotational on-call basis provide out-of-hours support as part of 24x7 coverage.

Role Title: GCP Cloud DevOps Engineer

Location - Pune

Description

The Cloud DevOps engineers will work within an agile team of Engineers and Operations personnel building highly resilient, scalable and performant GCP infrastructure in an automated and efficient manner. The DevOps engineers will work alongside the Application DevOps teams and cross-functional IT teams. The engineers will be required to use their initiative to innovate to achieve maximum performance and be prepared to investigate and use new products/services offered by GCP.

Key Accountabilities

Responsibilities will include:

1. Build and manage the HSBC GCP foundation platform to enable application deployments

Requirements

4. Experience configuring SDN within a CSP (VPCs, XPN etc.)
5. Security and Compliance, e.g. IAM (ADFS, OAuth) and cloud compliance/auditing/monitoring tools
6. Ability to build strong relationships with Application teams, cross functional IT and global/local IT teams
7. Excellent skills in at least one of following: Python, Ruby, Java, JavaScript, Go, Groovy, Scala
8. A track record of constantly looking for ways to do things better and an excellent understanding of the mechanism necessary to successfully implement change. Including excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences
