Job summary

Apple Hospital is seeking a dedicated and skilled Consultant Gastroenterologist to join our clinical team. The selected candidate will diagnose, treat, and manage patients with GI and hepatobiliary disorders and should be capable of independently handling ERCP and other GI procedures while upholding high safety standards.

The role requires DM/DNB in Gastroenterology and valid medical council registration, with 1–3 years of post-qualification experience preferred.

Qualifications

• DM/DNB in Gastroenterology from a recognized institution.
• Valid registration with the appropriate medical council.
• 1–3 years of relevant post-qualification experience preferred.
• Proven ability to independently perform ERCP and other GI procedures.
• Strong clinical knowledge and patient-management skills.
• Experience in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy preferred.
• Good communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage GI and hepatobiliary disorders.
• Conduct outpatient consultations and develop treatment plans based on clinical assessment.
• Independently perform ERCP and GI procedures within scope of clinical expertise.
• Independently handle and manage GI procedures, including diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy.
• Perform and supervise gastroenterology procedures in line with clinical protocols and safety standards.
• Review and interpret endoscopy, imaging, and laboratory investigations.
• Manage pre-procedure assessment, procedure-related care, and post-procedure follow-up.
• Provide timely clinical guidance and coordinate patient care with other departments.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure proper clinical documentation.
• Follow NABH standards and applicable clinical requirements.
• Communicate with patients and attendants regarding diagnosis, options, risks, and follow-up.

Key Responsibilities
