Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive consultations and clinical assessments for GI conditions.
• Diagnose and manage GI, hepatobiliary, pancreatic, and liver disorders.
• Develop treatment plans based on evaluations and investigations.
• Interpret laboratory, imaging, endoscopic, and diagnostic findings.
• Perform or oversee gastroenterology procedures within scope.
• Monitor progress and modify treatment plans as required.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for patient care.
• Explain diagnosis and treatment options clearly to patients and families.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive consultations and clinical assessments for patients with gastrointestinal and related conditions
• Diagnose and manage a broad range of gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, pancreatic, and liver disorders
• Develop appropriate treatment plans based on clinical evaluation, investigations, and patient needs
• Interpret relevant laboratory, imaging, endoscopic, and diagnostic findings
• Perform or oversee appropriate gastroenterology procedures within the scope of qualification and clinical expertise
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans when clinically required
• Coordinate with physicians, surgeons, nurses, diagnostic teams, and other specialists for multidisciplinary patient care
• Provide clear explanations regarding diagnosis, treatment options, procedures, and follow-up care to patients and their families
• Maintain accurate patient records, clinical notes, investigation reports, and treatment documentation
• Follow established clinical protocols, medical ethics, infection-control standards, and patient-safety practices
• Participate in clinical discussions, case reviews, and quality-improvement initiatives
