Job summary

Light & Wonder India is seeking a skilled Game Animator to craft story-driven animations for casino gaming. You will work with the design, art, and software teams to storyboard, prototype, and finalize high-quality animations that align with technical requirements and game direction.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3–4 years of production experience, with expert knowledge in After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator; Blender/Cinema 4D basics; Unity is a plus.

Position Summary Job Description

• Create animation that tells a story with meaning through movement.
• Work closely with the Game Designer, art team, and software engineering team to conceptualize, storyboard, prototype, create, and revise high quality final game animations in a timely and efficient manner.
• Provide creative solutions to artistic and technical problems.
• Support engineering development by updating and modifying artwork to meet technical requirements.
• Create and animate unique emotive characters and immersive worlds.
• Communicate game direction through storyboards and animatics.
• All other duties as assigned.

Additional Job Description Qualifications, Training and/or Experience

• Degree or certificate in 3D, or related field, or equivalent production animation experience.
• Proficient in Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator.
• Basic working understanding of 3D modeling and animation using software like Blender and Cinema 4d.
• Unity & Spin2D software experience is a plus.
• Strong design and composition ability.
• An animator with 3 to 4 years of experience in the production environment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of storyboarding and video production including but not limited to particles generation, compositing, motion graphics and character animation.
• Strong understanding of animation principles.
• Thorough understanding of physical motion, weight, balance, texture, and form.
• Organized and thorough, with the ability to work quickly.
• Interact and collaborate with immediate team, senior level professionals.
• Must be open to direction and able to embrace change.
• Proficient in Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.
• Familiarity with 3D modeling, rigging, animation a plus.
• Familiarity in compositing and rotoscoping a plus.
• Familiarity with Unity a plus.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in related field.
