Position Summary
Gaming: Welcome to the world of land‑based gaming. At Light & Wonder, it’s all about the games, and our Gaming team builds cutting‑edge technology, products, and content for the most iconic casinos and operators across the globe.
Responsibilities
- Create animation that tells a story with meaning through movement.
- Work closely with the Game Designer, art team and software engineering team to conceptualize, storyboard, prototype, create and revise high‑quality final game animations in a timely and efficient manner.
- Provide creative solutions to artistic and technical problems.
- Support engineering development by updating and modifying artwork to meet technical requirements.
- Create and animate unique emotive characters and immersive worlds.
- Communicate game direction through storyboards and animatics.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Degree or certificate in 3D, animation, or related field, or equivalent production animation experience.
- 7 to 10 years of experience in a production environment, as a senior animator.
- Proficient in Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator.
- Basic working understanding of 3D modeling and animation using software such as Blender and Cinema4D.
- Experience with Unity & Spin2D software is a plus.
- Strong design and composition ability.
- Strong understanding of animation principles and physical motion, weight, balance, texture, and form.
Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of storyboarding and video production, including particles generation, compositing, motion graphics and character animation.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work quickly.
- Ability to interact and collaborate with immediate team and senior level professionals.
- Open to direction and able to embrace change.
- Familiarity with 3D modeling, rigging, animation and compositing a plus.
- Familiarity with Unity a plus.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
