Job Title: Tech lead - C++

Business Unit: CARIAD

Location: Whitefield, Bangalore

Experience: 4 to 6 years

Responsibilities

• Develop platform components such as firmware, boot loaders, AUTOSAR, Linux/QNX BSP and service oriented architecture-based middleware components.
• Design, develop and maintain embedded C++ applications.
• Work independently and contribute to an Agile team environment.
• Ensure adherence to project timelines and delivery excellence.
• Resolve technical issues and demonstrate significant knowledge of technical problem resolution.

Qualifications

• Min 3+ years of experience in C++ (11, 14, 17, 20).
• Good hands‑on experience with multithreading, design patterns and OOP concepts.
• TCP/IP configuration experience (ifconfig, route, bridge, tap, VLAN, etc.).
• Knowledge of communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, FlexRay, ETH and SOME/IP.
• Hands‑on experience in POSIX filesystem.
• Knowledge in Automotive/Adaptive AUTOSAR/QNX/Automotive designing, developing and maintaining software, including command line tools like compilers, utilities and libraries.
• Experience developing safety‑oriented embedded C++ applications with safe multithreading, memory management, watchdog handling, fault detection and fail‑safe mechanisms.
• Good to have skills: experience with any of the communication middleware (DDS, SOME/IP, ARA:COM, MQTT, gRPC, etc.).
• Good leadership, communication and presentation skills.
• Capable of working independently on a given task.
• Demonstrates significant knowledge of technical problem resolution of issues.
• Good understanding of ISO 26262 functional safety lifecycle, HAZOP, HARA, ASIL classification, safety goals and safety requirement analysis for automotive software systems.
