Job summary

Protiviti India is hiring a Fund Accountant to manage end-to-end accounting activities for our clients in Mumbai's financial hub. The role focuses on accurate processing of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting for private equity and investment funds.

The candidate should have strong accounting concepts, experience with fund operations, and proficiency in MS Excel and Tally. CA or equivalent accounting background is preferred, with 2+ years (CA) or 5+ years (non-CA)

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end accounting activities with accuracy and timely delivery.

• Prepare and reconcile tax compliances (TDS, GST, advance tax).
• Ownership of vendor onboarding and control over vendor payment cycles.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closes (MIS, cash flow).
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and investor reporting.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
• Collaborate with auditors, custodians, fund administrators, and internal stakeholders as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end accounting activities with a focus on accuracy and timely delivery.
• Process and review accounting entries.
• Prepare supporting workings for accounting entries. Manage, review, and reconcile accounting entries. Prepare and post journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Prepare, review and reconcile various tax compliances (TDS, GST, advance tax etc.)
• Ownership of vendor onboarding and control over vendor payment cycles.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes (like MIS and cashflow statement etc.)
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and investor reporting.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
