Chartered Accountant / Finance & Operations Specialist

Avestor India Private Limited is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Chartered Accountant / Finance & Operations Specialist / Fund Accountant to manage financial reporting, bookkeeping, fund accounting, reconciliations, compliance, and operational activities. The ideal candidate should have strong technical accounting knowledge and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end bookkeeping and general ledger activities for multiple funds.
- Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Prepare Balance Sheets, Income Statements, and Cash Flow Statements.
- Perform complex bank and investment account reconciliations.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance of financial records.
- Support external audits and regulatory filings.
- 2. Fund Accounting & Operations
- Maintain accurate accounting records for diverse investment funds.
- Monitor and record capital calls, distributions, and investor transactions.
- Assist with accounting for alternative assets such as real estate and private equity/venture capital.
- Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and internal controls.
- 3. Tax & Compliance
- Assist in the preparation and coordination of tax returns.
- Support K-1/1099 distribution data and related tax requirements.
- Coordinate with external tax professionals and auditors.
- Maintain proper financial documentation and work papers.
- 4. Stakeholder Management
- Communicate financial information and accounting matters clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate with fund sponsors, investors, auditors, and external partners.
- Respond professionally to accounting and financial reporting queries.
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records.
Qualifications & Requirements
- CA qualification preferred. CPA, ACCA, or CIMA/CGMA candidates may also be considered.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in accounting, fund administration, financial services, alternative investments, fintech, or a similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Excellent knowledge of financial statement preparation and analysis.
- Understanding of alternative asset accounting is an advantage.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
