Job summary

Speedmart is seeking an experienced Test Engineer (Manual and Automation) to join our IT services team. You will lead functional testing, automation, API and performance testing across web, mobile, and data warehouse systems, with strong UFT and Selenium expertise and domain knowledge in Core Banking and Capital Markets.

The role demands collaboration across Agile and Waterfall teams and adherence to regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of overall software testing experience.
• 5+ years in automation testing using UFT and Selenium.
• 5+ years automating functional/regression tests for web apps.
• 2+ years REST API automation experience.
• 2+ years performance testing experience.
• Strong manual functional testing techniques and test design.
• Experience with hybrid automation frameworks and test strategies.
• Hands-on with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Bitbucket/GitHub.
• Mandatory experience in Core Banking and Capital Markets domains.
• Strong SQL, ETL, and database testing skills.
• Experience with integration, system, end-to-end, and batch testing.
• Experience with ALM Quality Center/Octane, JIRA, Oracle SQL Developer/SQL Workbench, Postman.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain automated regression test suites for web, mobile, legacy apps, and data warehouse systems.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts to accommodate application changes.
• Ensure test coverage aligns with business and functional requirements.
• Execute automated tests, report defects, and track through closure.
• Estimate testing efforts, monitor progress, and report status.
• Perform manual testing including functional, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Design REST API automation and performance test scenarios, including load profiles.
• Prepare test plans, data sets, and regression packs; coordinate data with teams.
• Collaborate with upstream/downstream teams to obtain test data and support.
• Contribute to test strategy and ensure timely closure of testing phases.
• Follow Agile and Waterfall SDLC, adhering to regulatory guidelines.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Test Engineer (Manual and Automation Testing) to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for functional testing, test automation, regression testing, API testing, performance testing, and database testing across web, mobile, legacy applications, and data warehouse systems. The candidate must have strong experience with UFT and Selenium, along with hands-on knowledge of Core Banking and Capital Markets.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, execute, and maintain automated regression test suites for web, mobile, legacy applications, and data warehouse systems.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts to accommodate application changes.
• Ensure test cases provide adequate coverage of business and functional requirements.
• Execute automated tests, investigate anomalies, document test evidence, and track defects through closure.
• Estimate automation and testing efforts, monitor progress, and report test status.
• Perform manual functional, integration, system integration, end-to-end, batch job, API, ETL, and database testing.
• Design and execute REST API automation and performance test scenarios, including load profiles.
• Prepare test plans, test data, test completion reports, and effective regression packs.
• Coordinate with upstream and downstream application teams to obtain test data and execution support.
• Contribute to test strategy preparation and ensure timely closure of the testing phase.
• Follow Agile and Waterfall methodologies and comply with regulatory requirements, internal guidelines, and policies.
• Complete assigned training and collaborate with multiple teams to deliver testing activities on time.

Must - Have Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of overall experience in software testing.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in automation testing using both UFT and Selenium.
• Minimum 5 years of experience automating functional regression test cases for web applications.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in REST API automation.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in performance testing.
• Strong experience in manual functional testing techniques, test case design, and test execution.
• Experience with hybrid automation frameworks and designing automation scripts and test strategies.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Bitbucket/GitHub for automated regression execution.
• Mandatory experience in Core Banking and Capital Markets domains.
• Strong SQL query-writing skills, ETL testing, and database testing experience.
• Experience in integration testing using stubs and drivers, system integration testing, end-to-end testing, and batch job testing.
• Experience preparing test plans, test completion reports, test data, effort estimations, and regression packs.
• Hands-on experience with ALM Quality Center/Octane, JIRA, Oracle SQL Developer/SQL Workbench, and Postman or an equivalent REST API testing tool.
• Mandatory experience working with both Agile and Waterfall SDLC methodologies.
• Knowledge of middleware technologies, including MQ, CFT, batch processing, and REST APIs.
• Ability to identify and prepare appropriate test data before test execution.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with JMeter or other performance testing tools for load testing.
• Experience with TestNG or similar automation testing frameworks.
• Experience in Wealth Management, Corporate Actions, Derivatives, SWIFT messages, Foreign Exchange (FX), Loans, and Deposits.
• Hands-on experience in AS400 mainframe testing.
• Experience in Business Process Management (BPM) and Document Management systems.
• Experience working with Agile Scrum practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills with multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and deliver tasks on time.
• Strong teamwork, collaboration, and client-focused approach.
• Ability to identify defects, investigate issues, and communicate findings effectively.
