Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• Minimum 3+ years in a Technical Lead, Lead Engineer, Principal Engineer, Architect, or similar senior technical role.
• Strong preference for startup or product engineering experience.

Job description

Architecture & Technology Strategy

• Own end-to-end platform architecture, ensuring scalability, security, reliability, and performance.
• Define and execute the technology roadmap aligned with business and product objectives.
• Evaluate and implement appropriate frameworks, tools, and cloud technologies.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and product teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Full Stack Engineering

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and microservices.
• Build responsive and user-friendly front-end applications using modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Drive engineering best practices, code quality, testing standards, and documentation.
• Participate actively in code reviews and technical design discussions.

Cloud, DevOps & Infrastructure

• Deploy, manage, and optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS and/or GCP.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployments.
• Implement containerized and cloud-native architectures using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Ensure security, reliability, monitoring, and operational excellence across systems.

Technical Leadership

• Serve as a technical mentor and engineering leader.
• Establish engineering standards and promote a strong development culture.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and mentoring of future engineering team members.
• Lead agile development processes and sprint planning activities.

Required Skills & Experience

Experience

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• Minimum 3+ years in a Technical Lead, Lead Engineer, Principal Engineer, Architect, or similar senior technical role.
• Strong preference for candidates with startup or product engineering experience.

Strong expertise in one or more of:

Backend Development

• Node.js / Express.js, Python / FastAPI / Django, Go (Golang), Ruby on Rails, Java-based backend frameworks

Frontend Development

• React.js, Angular, Vue.js

API & System Design

• RESTful APIs, GraphQL, Microservices architecture, Distributed systems design, Cloud-native application development

Database Technologies

• PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, DynamoDB

Cloud & DevOps

• Strong hands-on expertise in: AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform / CloudFormation, GitHub Actions / GitLab CI, CI/CD best practices
