Job summary

Noon is hiring a Frontend Architect to anchor our frontend organization in Bengaluru. You will own architecture, performance, and long-term direction for a high-scale design tool used by product teams.

You’ll balance hands-on coding with mentoring and strategic impact, shaping how AI-driven canvases, editors, and real-time collaboration power our product.

Qualifications

• 10+ years building large-scale web apps.
• 2–4 years owning frontend architecture and strategy.
• Mastery of React and TypeScript for complex UIs.
• Experience with editors/canvas-like or multi-pane UIs.
• Deep state management knowledge (e.g., Zustand, Recoil, Jotai, Redux).
• Proven performance optimization across large apps.

Responsibilities

• Own module boundaries, state/data flow, rendering strategy and extensibility.
• Drive frontend roadmap through RFCs and architecture reviews.
• Maintain frontend performance across large documents and sessions.
• Set testing, CI gates, observability, and release reliability standards.
• Collaborate with Design, Product and Backend on API design and tradeoffs.
• Mentor engineers and raise frontend craftsmanship through code reviews.

We are hiring a Full stack Frontend Architect to serve as the technical anchor for our frontend organization. In this role, you will be the primary driver of our product's technical excellence, solving complex problems like maintaining high performance on canvases with thousands of AI-generated nodes and architecting real-time collaborative systems.

This is a high-leverage, hands-on role. You will balance deep-work coding and day-to-day execution with long-term technical direction and mentoring.

What You’ll Do:

• Own module boundaries, state/data flow, rendering strategy, and extensibility.
• Drive the frontend roadmap through RFCs and architecture reviews, balancing speed-to-market with long-term maintainability.
• Own frontend performance across large documents, long sessions, and memory usage.
• Set the bar for testing, CI quality gates, observability, and release reliability to ensure a "zero-regression" culture.
• Partner closely with Design, Product, and Backend teams on key tradeoffs, API design, and distributed systems.
• Mentor engineers and raise the frontend engineering craft across the organization through code reviews and technical workshops.

Must-Have Requirements:

• 10+ years of professional experience building large-scale web applications.
• 2–4 years owning frontend architecture and technical strategy.
• Deep Technical Expertise: Mastery of React and TypeScript for complex, high-performance UIs.
• Complex UI Experience: Proven track record building large editors or complex UI systems (canvas, node-based editors, multi-pane layouts, or timelines).
• State Architecture Mastery: Deep experience with modern state management (e.g., Zustand, Recoil, Jotai, Redux) and reactive programming.
• Performance Optimization: Proven ability to optimize web applications under real-world conditions (memory management, rendering bottlenecks).
• Systems Thinking: Experience partnering on API design and understanding distributed systems tradeoffs.
