Job summary

Team Geek Solutions in Chennai, India is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join a cross-functional development team building experiences of tomorrow. You will work with Kotlin/Java, AWS, and modern CI/CD tools to deliver scalable APIs and features.

The role involves collaborating with DevOps, QA, frontend (ReactJS), product, and operations to design, build, test, deploy, and maintain solutions; you will tackle tech debt and contribute across the full product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of full-stack development with Kotlin/Java
• APIs experience for front-end applications
• Strong relational database experience (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and data handling
• Experience with CI/CD tooling (CircleCI, Drone, GitHub Actions)
• Infrastructure as code with Terraform is a plus

About The Role

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, become part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow.

Project Description: Client is looking for a Senior Software Engineer will work closely with other engineers of varying disciplines (DevOps, QA, Front-End ReactJS, etc), product, as well as other parts of the organization. They craft applications in Java/Kotlin, leveraging AWS, CircleCI, and Terraform. We are always looking to adopt modern technology to solve business challenges.

Responsibilities

• Build out features and solutions to collect, moderate, and/or deliver user-generated content to our customers
• Become an expert on multiple of our solutions and areas of our codebase, while understanding the larger architecture of our entire suite of solutions
• Participate in technical brainstorming and knowledge transfer sessions; provide technical advice at a team level and a department level
• Communicate across teams by collaborating with fellow engineers, product managers, UX designers, operations, and other development teams to build a holistic experience
• Proactively identify pain points and potential issues within our architecture and code base, and proactively tackle tech debt
• Contribute to each step of the product development process, from ideation and design, to planning and architecting, to building out the solution and infrastructure, to testing, to releasing, and maintenance
• Participate, build, and implement department CI/CD, application monitoring, security, and general developer tooling initiatives
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 6+ years of full-stack application development in our language stack (Kotlin, Java) and with AWS
• 5+ years of experience developing APIs for front-end applications
• 5+ years of strong experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and large data sets
• 2+ years of experience leveraging and maintaining CI/CD tooling (CircleCI, Drone, GitHub Actions)
• 2+ years of experience leveraging infrastructure as code using Terraform
