Job summary

TÜV SÜD in Pune is seeking a senior full-stack developer to design and build backend services in Python and frontend in React/TypeScript, with a focus on high-availability, security, and observability.

You'll work in a hybrid setup within Digital, IT, IT Security & Safety, collaborating with data scientists and engineers, contributing to CI/CD, documentation, and platform enhancements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in full stack software development with a strong focus on Python backend and React/TypeScript frontend, particularly with logic-heavy, performance-critical and high availability systems.
• Practical knowledge of API design (REST or GraphQL), asynchronous programming, microservices architecture and object oriented programming.
• Solid understanding of database fundamentals, with experience in relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
• Comfortable debugging and reasoning about end-to-end application flows, working across backend and frontend boundaries when needed.
• Able to work confidently in a Linux (Devbox/WSL) environment and run/debug Dockerized backend services locally is considered an advantage.
• Experience working with cloud environments, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, test automation, and logging/monitoring practices.
• Comfortable working in agile setups and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, including data scientists, data engineers, and other full stack developers.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Familiarity with agile development practices and the ability to work independently.
• Pragmatic approach to problem-solving, decision‑making with troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues independently.
• Team player with the ability to collaborate in international and multicultural teams.
• Understanding of secure software development practices, application security principles, authentication and authorization mechanisms, and API security.
• Ability to adapt to evolving technologies, business domains, and project environments.
• Specific trainings/certifications: training to maintain knowledge; cybersecurity training; advanced courses in DevOps, system architecture, and data management concepts

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with developers, data scientists, and data engineers to integrate services, models, and data pipelines.
• Write automated tests and contribute to the team’s CI/CD pipeline, test coverage, and deployment stability.
• Ensure developed components meet performance, security, and observability standards.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to design discussions within the development team.
• Work within an agile development framework to deliver software increments, including code, documentation, automated tests, and technical design artifacts.
• Contribute to the definition, refinement, and prioritization of technical features, enablers, and platform enhancements within the product backlog.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation, including APIs, software components, integrations, and development guidelines
