Job summary

Redington Limited is seeking a skilled Full Stack Developer for its eCommerce platform. You will build, optimize, and maintain scalable ecommerce infrastructure across frontend and backend, with a focus on Medusa-based architectures.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent.
4–8 years of relevant experience in full stack development for ecommerce.
Experience with Medusa eCommerce platform customization and APIs.
Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, Express, and React.js/Next.js.
Experience designing RESTful APIs and headless commerce integrations.
Familiarity with PostgreSQL or MySQL and microservices architecture.
Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
Experience with Jira and agile development practices.

Responsibilities

Key Purpose of the Job :

We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Developer with experience in the eCommerce platform to help build, optimize, and maintain our eCommerce infrastructure. You will work on both the frontend and backend, implementing scalable and robust eCommerce solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystems and be familiar with the Medusa platforms architecture and APIs.

Key Responsibilities :

Full Stack Development :

Develop, maintain, and optimize full-stack eCommerce solutions using the Medusa platform.
Create clean, maintainable code on both the frontend and backend, ensuring high performance and scalability.
Integrate third-party services and APIs, including payment gateways, shipping providers, and other external systems.

Backend Development :

Design and implement robust backend services and microservices using Node.js, Express, and Medusas APIs.
Develop custom features, plugins, and modules within the Medusa platform to extend its functionality.
Work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL for data management and optimization.

Frontend Development :

Build responsive, user-friendly, and high-performance frontend interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks like React.js or Next.js.
Ensure seamless integration with Medusas headless architecture and support headless commerce implementations.
Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement high-quality user experiences across devices.

API Integration & Microservices :

Create and consume RESTful APIs to integrate with third-party platforms, ensuring smooth and secure data exchange.
Work on API extensions and customizations within Medusa to meet unique business needs.
Develop microservices for modular architecture and scalable performance

Database Management :

Design and optimize database schemas using PostgreSQL or MySQL
Implement data migrations, indexing, and optimization strategies to ensure fast queries and scalability.

DevOps & CI/CD :

Collaborate with the DevOps team to set up continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Ensure the application is scalable and optimized for performance on cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.

Collaboration & Communication :

Work closely with product owners, designers, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Participate in code reviews, knowledge-sharing sessions, and technical discussions to improve the codebase and overall project efficiency.

Requirements :

Technical Expertise :

Strong experience with Medusa eCommerce platform, including customization and API usage.
Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, Express, and React.js or Next.js.
Experience with RESTful APIs and working with headless commerce systems
Knowledge of relational databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, and working with data schemas and migrations.
Familiarity with microservices architecture and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
Ability to design scalable and maintainable architectures for large eCommerce systems
