Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and delivery of high-scale web products across frontend, backend services, and data layers with clear SLOs/SLAs.
• Develop a modern web interface and APIs that unify observability signals into a seamless user experience.
• Handle JSON/schema transformations, mappings between schemas, and create testable diff/report outputs.
• Design durable, resumable workflows with audit trails using Temporal/XState or similar concepts.
• Implement UI-driven diff and preview for change impact to non-experts; contribute to the overall platform UX.
• Define cost-effective storage strategies including tiered storage to reduce multi-year data costs.
• Architect platform automation for maintenance, data lifecycle management, and complex pipelines.

Job description

• Architecture & Delivery: Lead the architecture and delivery of high-scale web products across frontend, backend services, and data layers, with clear availability and latency targets (SLOs/SLAs).
• Focus on User Experience: Develop a modern, web interface and APIs that unify distinct observability signals into a seamless, consolidated user experience.
• JSON/schema transformation (core job function): Parsing, validating, diffing and transforming large nested JSON documents. Writing mappers between two dissimilar schemas that are unit testable and report their own gaps. Handling the “no clean equivalent” case as a first-class output, not an exception.
• Stateful, resumable workflows (core job function): Durable execution: Temporal, XState or a well- Apply semantics (similar to terraform plan). Per Step Audit Trail.
• Approval UX (core job function): Diff and preview interface showing a non-expert exactly what’s about to change and why. UI is the ultimate product.
• Optimize Storage & Cost: Implement cost-effective tiered storage architectures. You will define strategies for routing high-volume data to cold storage solutions to reduce costs while maintaining multi-year data
• Drive Platform Automation: Architect workflow orchestration systems to automate platform maintenance, data lifecycle management, and complex pipeline operations.

Technical Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of software engineering experience delivering production web systems.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, including active listening, translating complex use cases into clear technical requirements, and designing data models aligned with business logic and outcomes.
• Familiarity with observability stacks such as Splunk, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, or Loki.
• Proficiency in API design (REST), schema evolution, and integration patterns, with a strong commitment to automated testing.
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor)
