Job summary

ShimentoX Technologies is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, build, and scale mission-critical systems end-to-end. You will own features from architecture through production, collaborating with product and data teams to drive engineering excellence across distributed systems and modern frontend surfaces.

The role involves building Java Spring Boot microservices, Python FastAPI services, and React front-ends with TypeScript.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full stack engineering with end-to-end ownership.
• Strong proficiency in Java (Spring Boot) and Python backend (FastAPI).
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and async processing.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Cloud deployments (GCP/AWS).
• Experience designing and deploying microservices and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver high-throughput Java microservices under peak load.
• Build secure RESTful APIs and async processing pipelines.
• Develop Python microservices for data ingestion and ETL tasks.
• Architect event-driven systems with Kafka, Redis for real-time data.
• Scale services on GCP and AWS with observability and rollout strategies.
• Lead microservice modernization and API contract definitions.
• Build React front-ends with TS, Redux Toolkit, TanStack Query, Next.js.
• Develop micro-frontends using Module Federation and event bus patterns.
• Create real-time UI dashboards with WebSocket and low-latency updates.
• Design dynamic UI engines driven by backend JSON metadata.
• Model PostgreSQL schemas for high-volume workloads.
• Construct BigQuery/Snowflake data pipelines for KPI analytics.
• Optimize queries and implement caching to reduce backend load.
• Containerize and deploy with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, blue/green rollouts.
• Build observability dashboards with Kibana/Elasticsearch/Grafana.
• Perform load testing and GKE tuning for production readiness.

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer with deep expertise in Java, React, and Python to design, build, and scale mission-critical systems end-to-end.

You'll own features from architecture through production, collaborate closely with product and data teams, and drive engineering excellence across distributed systems, async pipelines, and modern frontend surfaces.

What You’ll Do

• Design and deliver high-throughput Java (Spring Boot) microservices handling hundreds of concurrent RPS under sustained peak load.
• Build secure, production-grade RESTful APIs and async processing pipelines with full end-to-end ownership.
• Develop Python (FastAPI) microservices for data ingestion, ETL orchestration, and ML/AI-adjacent workflows.
• Architect event-driven systems using Apache Kafka, Redis, and async frameworks for real-time data processing.
• Scale services on GCP (GKE) and AWS (EKS, Lambda, S3) with observability and load-tested rollout strategies.
• Lead microservice modernization — decompose monoliths, define API contracts, and own delivery to production.
• Build performant React.js applications with TypeScript, Redux Toolkit, TanStack Query, and Next.js.
• Architect micro-frontend platforms using Webpack Module Federation and event bus patterns.
• Develop real-time UI surfaces (WebSocket-driven dashboards) with sub-second update cycles.
• Design Dynamic UI Engines — configurable forms driven by backend JSON metadata — enabling low-code configurability.
• Design PostgreSQL schemas optimized for high-volume transactional and analytical workloads.
• Build BigQuery / Snowflake pipelines — views, streams, tasks, stored procedures — for large-scale KPI analytics.
• Optimize query performance and implement advanced caching to reduce backend load.
• Containerize and deploy via Docker, Kubernetes (GKE/EKS), and Helm with blue/green rollouts.
• Build observability dashboards with Kibana, Elasticsearch, Grafana for system health monitoring.
• Conduct load testing (Locust, custom harnesses) and GKE tuning for production readiness.

What We’re Looking For

Must-Have

• 5+ years of full stack engineering with end-to-end ownership.
• Strong proficiency in Java (Spring Boot) — microservices, REST APIs, async processing.
• Solid Python backend experience — FastAPI, asyncio, Kafka integration, ETL pipelines.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems — Kafka, Redis, event-driven architecture.
• Hands-on PostgreSQL — schema design, query optimization, transactional workflows.
• Cloud experience on GCP or AWS — containerized deployments, managed services.
• Strong system design instincts — HLD docs, API contracts, stakeholder alignment.
