Job summary

Tata Technologies in Pune invites experienced engineers for a walk-in drive focused on powertrain and fuel system design. The role emphasizes end-to-end technical delivery, validation, DFMEA, and cross-functional coordination.

We seek 4–10 years of experience in ICE, Hybrid, or Flex-Fuel systems, with strong CATIA V5/V6 and TeamCenter PLM knowledge. On-site opportunity, selection at venue.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Automotive Engineering or related discipline.
• 4 to 10 years of experience in fuel system / powertrain design.
• Strong CATIA V5/V6 and PLM (TeamCenter) proficiency.
• Experience with fuel system validation, testing, and OEM interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Own technical delivery and design maturity for fuel commodities (tanks, pumps, lines, rails, filters, valves).
• Define system and component-level requirements, interfaces, and specifications.
• Drive fuel system architecture, packaging, and vehicle integration activities.
• Ensure compliance with emission, safety, and regulatory standards (global and OEM).
• Lead design reviews, technical decision-making, and engineering change management.
• Own and execute DVP&R, validation, and durability testing for fuel systems.
• Lead DFMEA, risk assessments, and corrective actions for fuel system components.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams (vehicle integration, NVH, thermal, emissions, manufacturing, purchasing).
• Manage supplier technical development, reviews, and issue resolution.
• Support industrialization, manufacturing ramp-up, and launch readiness.
• Act as the primary technical interface to OEM customers for fuel system topics.

Area of Responsibility

Knowledge / Experience – 4 to 10 Years

• Timely S/T/P releases by ensuring right information of CAD data is produced with BOM, weight management.
• Understanding of commodity release & change management
• Understanding of Proto & Production BOM , build support,
• Excellent CATIA V5 and CATIA V6
• Exposure to PLM tools such as TeamCenter.
