Job summary

JobTrade is looking for a Fiber Network O&M Engineer to maintain and troubleshoot OLT systems at the Hyderabad site.

The role requires 4–7 years in fiber optics with hands-on experience in splicing, OTDR testing, and link budget calculations. You will coordinate with field teams and vendors to ensure timely fault resolution and proper documentation.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Electronics or related field.
• 4–7 years of experience in fiber optics/telecom O&M.
• Strong knowledge of fiber optics and network maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of OLT systems.
• Handle Fiber and FTTX feeder and distribution cable maintenance.
• Perform fiber splicing and OTDR testing.
• Conduct link budget calculations for fiber networks.

Job Role: Fiber Network O&M Engineer

Job Description

• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of OLT systems.
• Handle Fiber and FTTX feeder and distribution cable maintenance.
• Perform fiber splicing and OTDR testing.
• Conduct link budget calculations for fiber networks.
• Carry out OFC maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
• Manage and coordinate with OFC maintenance vendors and FRT vehicles.
• Perform aerial cable maintenance.
• Use fiber testing and maintenance equipment including:
• OTDR
• LSPM
• Cable Locator
• Perform Fiber Network Operations & Maintenance (O&M).
• Handle O&M activities for Transmission/IP Network equipment.
• Apply strong knowledge of fiber optics communication.
• Troubleshoot and maintain Transmission, DLC, and OLT equipment.
• Analyse network issues and implement appropriate solutions.
• Coordinate with field teams and vendors for timely resolution of fiber network faults.
• Maintain proper records of maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
