Sonata Software (SonataOne) in Pune is seeking a Frontend Developer specializing in React and TypeScript to build scalable UI components and integrate with REST APIs and real-time services.

You will collaborate with product and engineering teams, apply AI-assisted tools to speed up development, and contribute to modernization including legacy AngularJS when needed. This role offers hands-on ownership from design to production, in a fast-moving AI-enabled environment.

• Experience integrating frontend applications with REST APIs and real-time/WebSocket-based services.
• Experience with modern frontend build tooling, automated testing, Git-based development, and production troubleshooting.
• Ability to independently understand existing codebases and collaborate effectively with engineering and product teams.

Job Title: Frontend Developer – React / TypeScript

Location: Pune

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Integrate frontend applications with REST APIs, WebSocket-based services, and real-time messaging platforms.
• Contribute to the modernization and maintenance of existing frontend components, including legacy AngularJS applications where required.
• Use AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent to accelerate development, testing, debugging, code reviews, and technical problem-solving.
• Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of frontend engineering practices.
• Take ownership of features from design and development through testing, deployment, and production support.

Qualifications & Required Skills:

• Experience integrating frontend applications with REST APIs and real-time/WebSocket-based services.
• Experience with modern frontend build tooling, automated testing, Git-based development, and production troubleshooting.
• Ability to independently understand existing codebases and collaborate effectively with engineering and product teams.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Mandatory Skills:

• React Hooks, Context API, state management, and reusable component design.
• REST API integration, asynchronous programming, and WebSocket-based communication.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude, or GitHub Copilot.
• Frontend build tools, Git, automated testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.

Good to Have Skills:

• Experience with Centrifugo or similar real-time messaging technologies.
• Experience maintaining or modernizing AngularJS applications.
• Experience developing AI-enabled features or integrating AI/ML models, LLMs, or AI services into production applications.
