Job summary

Sonata Software in Pune is seeking versatile Full-Stack PHP Engineers to join our Engineering team across multiple business units. The role supports new product development, application enhancements, modernization, integrations, and specialized engineering projects.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on PHP expertise across frontend and backend, experience with Laravel or Symfony, and familiarity with REST APIs, databases, cloud, and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on PHP development experience.
• PHP 8.x preferred, with experience in PHP 7.x.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented PHP.
• Experience with namespaces, Composer, dependency management, and modern PHP practices.
• Experience developing and consuming REST APIs.

About The Role

We are looking for versatile Full-Stack PHP Engineers to join our Engineering team across multiple Business Units and technology initiatives. The role supports new product development, application enhancements, modernization, integrations, and specialized engineering projects.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands–on PHP expertise with the ability to work across frontend, backend, databases, cloud, DevOps, and emerging technologies. Engineers should be comfortable working with both modern PHP applications and legacy enterprise systems, including troubleshooting, maintaining, and modernising older applications.

The role requires strong problem–solving skills, adaptability to unfamiliar codebases, effective use of AI–assisted development tools, and ownership of high–quality engineering outcomes.
