Job summary

About the Role

We are looking for a Frontend Developer to join our engineering team and work on TridaPad and other Trida Labs products.

TridaPad is a mature React application built primarily with JavaScript and React 16. You will work within the existing codebase while helping modernize the frontend architecture and gradually adopt current React and TypeScript practices.

Your work will include building interfaces for SQL editing, query results, dashboards, data exploration, AI-assisted workflows, and data visualization. You will also contribute to API integration, application state, testing, and frontend performance.

What You'll DoProduct Development

• Build and maintain production frontend features using React, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Ant Design, and Less.

• Develop dashboards, query result views, filters, forms, and other data-intensive interfaces.

• Translate product requirements and design specifications into accessible and maintainable frontend features.

AI, Data & Visualization

• Build interfaces for natural-language data interaction, AI-assisted workflows, and enterprise data exploration.

• Develop interactive visualizations using Plotly.js and D3.js, including maps and geospatial views with Leaflet.

• Work on the SQL editor built on Ace and interfaces for displaying queries, results, charts, and explanations.

API Integration & State Management

• Integrate REST APIs through the existing axios-based service layer.

• Handle asynchronous data, API errors, loading states, pagination, filtering, and caching.

• Work with existing frontend state-management patterns and help introduce TanStack Query where it improves server-state management.

Performance & Production Support

• Identify and resolve frontend performance issues related to React rendering, network requests, bundles, and large datasets.

• Investigate and resolve production issues using browser developer tools, network traces, and application logs.

Testing

• Write and maintain frontend tests using Jest and Cypress.

• Add regression coverage for bugs and critical product workflows.

• Help migrate existing Enzyme tests to React Testing Library.

Frontend Modernization

• Help upgrade the existing React 16 application toward a current React version.

• Introduce TypeScript incrementally into the existing JavaScript codebase.

• Migrate frontend tests from Enzyme to React Testing Library.

• Introduce TanStack Query alongside the existing axios service layer.

Ownership

You'll own frontend features from development through production support, working closely with Backend, AI, Data, Product, and Design teams.

What You'll Bring

• 3–5 years of professional experience in frontend or software engineering.

• Strong experience with React and JavaScript.

• Comfortable working with both class components and hooks in an existing React 16 codebase.

• Experience integrating REST APIs and working with asynchronous data and frontend state management.

• Experience building data-driven interfaces, dashboards, analytics applications, or SaaS products.

• Experience troubleshooting frontend performance and production issues.

• Experience writing automated frontend tests using Jest or similar testing frameworks.

• Familiarity with TypeScript and an interest in introducing it into an existing JavaScript codebase.

• Good understanding of HTML, CSS, responsive design, and accessibility.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience modernizing established React applications.

• Experience with TanStack Query or React Query.

• Experience with Plotly.js, D3.js, Leaflet, or Ace Editor.

• Experience building AI-powered or conversational interfaces.

• Experience working on enterprise data, analytics, or developer-focused products.

• Familiarity with Figma or similar design-to-development workflows.
