Trida Labs is hiring a Backend Developer to build and maintain the services that power Trida Labs products. You will work across APIs, databases, background jobs, and AI-enabled data workflows, collaborating with AI, Data, QA, and Product teams.

The role emphasizes Python-based backend development with Flask or FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, and strong PostgreSQL expertise, in an on-site Pune environment. 3–5 years of professional experience is required.

Responsabilidades

• Build and maintain REST APIs and backend services using Flask and FastAPI.

• Migrate Flask services and SQLAlchemy from 1.x to 2.x.
• Work with PostgreSQL and SQLAlchemy across TridaPad and AgentSQL.
• Develop data-source connectors and backend APIs for 70+ data sources.
• Support AgentSQL's NL-to-SQL workflows and AI-assisted data apps.
• Develop and maintain Redis/RQ-based background jobs and scheduling.
• Maintain MCP Server using FastMCP and related tools.
• Write backend tests with Python and pytest; assist QA in reproducing defects.

About the Role

We're looking for a Backend Developer to build and maintain the services behind Trida Labs products.

TridaPad's backend is built with Flask, Flask-RESTful, SQLAlchemy, and RQ on Redis. AgentSQL is a FastAPI service built with LangChain and LangGraph. You'll work across APIs, database access, background jobs, data-source integrations, and the execution and data layers around AI workflows.

What You'll Do

Backend Development

• Build and maintain REST APIs and backend services using Flask and FastAPI.

• Implement request validation, authentication, authorization, and error handling.

• Maintain TridaPad's Flask services and contribute to its SQLAlchemy 1.3 → 2.x migration.

Database & Data Access

• Work with PostgreSQL and SQLAlchemy across TridaPad and AgentSQL.

• Write and review SQL used by backend services.

• Maintain data integrity and organization-level data separation.

• Work with Alembic and Flask-Migrate to implement database schema changes.

• Coordinate with the Database Engineer on schema and query performance work.

Data Source Integrations

• Build and maintain the connector framework and backend APIs used by TridaPad to work with more than 70 data sources.

• Handle differences in schemas, data types, authentication, query execution, and result handling across supported data platforms.

• Work with the Database Engineer on engine-specific connector behavior and database integration issues.

• Handle large query results and data-intensive backend workflows.

AgentSQL & AI Workflows

• Build the backend services supporting AgentSQL's natural-language-to-SQL workflow, including schema retrieval, SQL execution, and result handling.

• Implement backend validation and safeguards around AI-generated SQL and database operations.

• Work with AI engineers to troubleshoot issues affecting generated queries, execution, and returned results.

Background Jobs & Scheduling

• Develop and maintain RQ-based background jobs running on Redis for query execution and other asynchronous workflows.

• Support scheduled queries and rq-scheduler workflows, including job status, timeouts, failures, and retries.

• Investigate slow API responses, long-running jobs, and backend execution issues.

MCP Server

• Maintain and extend the TridaPad MCP Server using FastMCP and its tools for AI assistants.

Testing & Production Support

• Write and maintain backend tests using Python and pytest, covering APIs and backend workflows across normal, edge, and failure scenarios.

• Investigate production issues across APIs, databases, background jobs, connectors, and external data sources.

• Work with QA engineers to reproduce defects, identify root causes, and verify fixes.

Ownership

You’ll own backend features from implementation through production support, working closely with Frontend, AI, Data, QA, and Product teams.

What You’ll Bring

• 3–5 years of professional experience in backend or software development.

• Strong Python experience building REST APIs with Flask or FastAPI.

• Strong SQL and PostgreSQL experience.

• Experience with SQLAlchemy or a similar ORM.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with both Flask and FastAPI.

• Experience with RQ, Redis, or similar background job systems.

• Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, MCP, FastMCP, or AI/LLM applications.

• Experience with natural-language-to-SQL or AI-assisted data applications.

• Experience building connectors for multiple databases or external data sources.

• Experience with Docker or cloud deployments.
