Job summary

Genpact in Hyderabad is seeking a Front Line Manager for Accounts Payable to lead daily invoice processing, approvals, and reconciliation. You will supervise a team, ensure policy compliance, and drive accuracy across the AP cycle.

You will mentor junior staff, train on systems (SAP/NetSuite), and contribute to process improvements while partnering with procurement and treasury to resolve vendor queries and optimize cash flow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Economics or Finance.
• Master's degree in Finance preferred.
• Accounts Payable Certification - F-Tec.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily processing of supplier invoices and employee reimbursements.
• Ensure proper coding, approvals and policy compliance.
• Monitor AP ledger for accuracy and completeness.
• Manage end-to-end AP cycle: invoice receipt validation, approvals, payments.
• Allocate and track work of junior AP team members.
• First point of contact for queries and escalations; train new team members.
• Motivate team to meet performance and accuracy targets.
• Ensure internal controls and audit readiness; assist with fraud-prevention procedures.
• Resolve vendor queries and discrepancies; maintain relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Generate AP reports and assist with monthly/quarterly closings; analyze payment trends.
• Identify inefficiencies; drive process automation and ERP upgrades.
• Participate in management training; grow leadership capabilities; strong accounting knowledge.

Reporting & AnalysisGenerate AP reports: aging reports, due payments, and exception reports.Support monthly/quarterly closing activities with finance.Analyze payment trends and propose improvements.6. Process ImprovementIdentify gaps or inefficiencies in AP processes.Recommend and help implement process automation or best practices.Participate in AP system upgrades or ERP implementations as needed.7.
