Job summary

Sensata Technologies is seeking a Logistics Analyst to analyze product delivery and supply chain processes in India. You will ensure data accuracy, perform detailed logistics analysis and support cost-effective, timely solutions.

The role requires examining and forecasting to aid financial decisions and cash flow planning. Responsibilities include coordinating customs clearance, communicating with brokers and authorities, and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, International Trade or related field.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with strong analytical skills.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and ERP systems with strong communication (verbal/written).
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage import/export customs clearance activities in line with regulations.
  • Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders and authorities to ensure timely shipments.
  • Prepare, review and maintain import/export documents such as invoices and packing lists.
  • Monitor shipments, resolve transport and customs issues, communicate risks to stakeholders.
  • Analyze data to identify process improvements, cost savings and efficiency gains.

Job description

The Logistics Analyst is responsible for analyzing product delivery and supply chain processes to identify or recommend changes. Responsible for analyzing and interpreting data and providing logistics information to aid cost effective, efficient, timely and high quality logistics solutions.

General Responsibilities
  • Ensure reliability, integrity and accuracy of data
  • Undertake detailed and thorough logistics analysis
  • Ensure analysis is in line with business goals and targets
  • Make recommendations based on findings and analysis
  • Produce forecasts and estimates to aid financially sound decisions and cash flow planning
  • Ensure logistics costs are monitored, managed and under control
  • Collaborate with manager or stakeholders to determine effective solutions
  • Set up and provide regular reports and data relating to specific areas of the logistics process such as supplier analysis, transportation costs
  • Track logistics trends and use information to recommend changes
  • Utilise knowledge and research methods to benchmark logistics activities and to drive best practice results
  • Work with Logistics and other appropriate staff to resolve issues as and when required
  • Provide additional analytical support as required
Experience / Qualifications
  • A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
  • Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
  • Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
  • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage import and export customs clearance activities, ensuring compliance with all applicable customs regulations and company requirements.
  • Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, transportation providers, and government authorities to ensure timely shipment processing and delivery.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain import/export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and customs declarations.
  • Monitor international shipments, resolve transportation and customs-related issues, and proactively communicate risks or delays to internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure accurate classification of goods, customs valuation, and proper application of trade compliance requirements.
  • Support freight cost optimization initiatives and maintain strong relationships with logistics and transportation service providers.
  • Analyze customs and transportation data and identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and increased operational efficiency.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, International Trade, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in customs operations, import/export activities, and coordination with freight forwarding and transportation companies.
  • Strong knowledge of customs regulations, international trade documentation, and import/export procedures.
  • Experience working with customs brokers, freight forwarders, carriers, and government authorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with ERP systems.
  • Professional English proficiency, both written and spoken.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
