Job summary

Centum Electronics Ltd. Bengaluru seeks an experienced FPGA Design Engineer to join their hardware team.

You will contribute to FPGA-based systems using VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog, targeting high-speed interfaces and DO-254 compliant projects. You'll work with Xilinx, Intel/Altera, and other platforms, employing tools like Vivado, ModelSim, and Quartus to implement digital designs, perform timing analyses, debugging, and IP integration in telecom, aerospace, automotive, or industrial automation

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in FPGA design and development.
• Strong proficiency in VHDL, Verilog, and SystemVerilog.
• Hands-on experience with FPGA platforms (Xilinx, Intel/Altera, Lattice, Microsemi).
• Proficiency with tools such as Vivado, Quartus, ModelSim, Synplify.
• Understanding of digital design, signal processing, timing analysis, and hardware debugging.
• Ability to trace difficult problems using debuggers and oscilloscope tools.
• Knowledge of serial interfaces and peripherals (I2S, I2C, SPI, ADCs, DACs).
• Experience with high-speed interfaces (PCIe, DDR, Ethernet), embedded processors (MicroBlaze, Nios), and IP integration.
• Experience on projects at DO 254 standards

Who You are?

• Bachelors or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in FPGA design and development role.
• Strong proficiency in VHDL, Verilog, and/or SystemVerilog.
• Hands-on experience with FPGA platforms such as Xilinx, Intel (Altera), Lattice, or Microsemi.
• Proficiency with tools like Vivado, Quartus, ModelSim, Synplify, etc.
• Solid understanding of digital design principles, signal processing, data processing, timing analysis, and hardware debugging.
• Ability to trace difficult problems using a variety of tools (debugger, JTAG emulator, logic analyser, oscilloscope.
• Knowledge of serial interfaces and peripherals (I2S, I2C, SPI, ADCs, DACs).
• Experience with high-speed interfaces (PCIe, DDR, Ethernet), embedded processors (MicroBlaze, Nios), and IP integration.
• Experience on projects at DO 254 standards

PREFERED SKILLS

• Experience in domains such as telecommunications, aerospace, automotive, or industrial automation.
• Knowledge of embedded C/C++ for FPGA-based systems.
• Exposure to formal verification and simulation methodologies.
• Familiarity with Agile development practices.
