The position operates at the intersection of finance, data, and technology to strengthen data validation and reporting processes.### How you will make an impact:* ### Execute end-to-end data validation across ERP, planning tools, data platforms, and BI systems and reconcile datasets* ### Validate financial metrics including revenue, margin, and operating expenses prior to executive reporting cycles* ### Maintain and apply data validation rules aligned with governance standards* ### Collaborate with Finance Systems and Data Engineering teams to improve data pipeline integrity* ### Identify and implement automation opportunities using SQL, Excel, and Python* ### Investigate data discrepancies and deliver root-cause analysis with actionable recommendations* ### Build scalable and repeatable processes for financial data validation and reporting.### The must haves:* ### Experience: 3+ years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or data analytics* ### Application of planning tools such as Anaplan or equivalent platforms* ### Utilization of data platforms including Snowflake and SQL* ### Advanced use of Excel and BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau* ### Demonstrated analytical approach with attention to detail in data validation scenarios* ### Ability to work across functions and communicate insights to stakeholders.### Nice to haves:* ### Application of SQL and Python for data validation and automation* ### Experience in technology-driven or data-centric environments* ### Exposure to data governance or data quality frameworks.### ### #LI-MP2### At Ciena, we are committed to building and fostering an environment in which our employees feel respected, valued, and heard.
