Job summary

Tenarai seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to build and deploy production-grade AI-powered solutions directly with enterprise customers. This hands-on builder role owns end-to-end delivery from customer discovery and architecture through development, production deployment, and handover.

The FDE will design agentic AI solutions, translate problems, develop backend services and APIs, move from POC to production, and collaborate with customers and platform teams to ensure secure, scalable operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering, architecture or technical delivery experience.
• Proven experience shipping production systems in enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on backend, API and integration engineering experience.
• Experience building LLM/Generative AI applications, including RAG, tool/function calling and orchestration.
• Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP, CI/CD and containers.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of security, access controls and PII handling.
• Strong customer-facing communication and stakeholder management skills.
