Job summary

Careernet is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to design, build, and deploy production-grade AI solutions for enterprise customers. This hands-on role combines software development, AI systems, cloud infrastructure, and customer engagement to deliver real-world deployments.

You will work with customer teams to integrate AI into business workflows, optimize performance, and contribute to product enhancements through deployment insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in CS, EE, or related field.
• 5-9 years of software engineering experience (flexible for exceptional candidates).
• Strong Python and backend production services experience.
• Experience with RAG, AI agents, and LLM integrations.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end technical delivery from solution design through production deployment.
• Design scalable AI systems optimized for reliability, latency, accuracy, and cost.
• Build production-ready applications including AI agents, conversational AI, RAG pipelines, developer tooling, and enterprise integrations.
• Develop integration scripts, backend services, platform configurations, and troubleshoot production issues.
• Work closely with customer engineering teams on infrastructure, deployment, and integration requirements.
• Design evaluation frameworks, define success metrics, and continuously optimize AI system performance.
• Support multiple customer engagements across different industries and business use cases.
• Collaborate with internal Product and Research teams by sharing customer insights to influence future product enhancements.

This is a hands‑on engineering role that combines software development, AI systems, cloud infrastructure, and customer engagement. You will work closely with customer engineering teams to integrate AI into real‑world business workflows while driving successful production deployments and continuously improving system performance.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5-9 years of software engineering experience (flexible for exceptional candidates).
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience building production backend services.
• Solid understanding of:
• Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG)
• AI Agents & Agentic Workflows
• Tool Calling & Structured Outputs
• Experience with frameworks such as LangGraph, LlamaIndex, Google ADK, or similar.
• Experience working with both open‑source and commercial LLMs.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, architecture, scalability, and production reliability.
• Experience with messaging systems like Kafka, Amazon SQS, or equivalent.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience designing AI evaluation frameworks and performance metrics.
• Excellent problem‑solving, debugging, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, customer‑facing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience deploying AI agents into production.
• Experience with Voice AI or Conversational AI platforms.
• Experience delivering AI solutions for regulated industries (BFSI, Healthcare, Government).
• Exposure to on‑premise or VPC deployments.
• Open‑source contributions, personal AI projects, or shipped AI products.
• Previous experience in Solutions Engineering, Deployment Engineering, or customer‑facing technical roles.
• Passion for experimenting with emerging AI technologies and frameworks.
