Job summary

PwC Acceleration Center India seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer - Automation Manager to lead delivery of managed services, drive automation frameworks, and guide delivery teams across client engagements.

You will own project planning, budgeting, and execution, mentor staff, ensure quality, and push AI at scale with responsible practices, while building trusted relationships with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Extensive DevOps or platform engineering leadership experience, delivering at scale.
• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code.
• Proven enterprise integration experience with security, identity and governance constraints.
• Proven ownership of delivery outcomes and senior customer relationships.
• Strategy for productionising AI at scale (LLMOps/MLOps), including responsible AI.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; decisive under pressure.

As a Forward Deployed Engineer - Automation- Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering outsourced solutions that streamline operations, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency for our clients. You will be at the forefront of managing key processes and functions, leveraging your skills in project management, technology, and process optimization to provide exceptional services. Within our Managed Services practice, you will focus on transitioning and running services, managing delivery teams, programs, and performance, while continuously improving and optimizing processes, tools, and services.

As a Manager, you will lead teams and manage client accounts, focusing on strategic planning and mentoring junior staff. You are accountable for project success and maintaining standards, motivating and inspiring others to deliver quality. You will coach team members, leverage their strengths, and manage performance to meet client expectations. With your growing business knowledge, you will identify opportunities that contribute to the success of our firm, leading with integrity and authenticity, and embracing technology and innovation to enhance delivery.

In this role at PwC Acceleration Center India, you will take ownership of projects, confirming their successful planning, budgeting, execution, and completion. You will address conflicts or issues, engage in difficult conversations with clients and stakeholders, and uphold professional and technical standards.

What You Must Have

• At least a Bachelor's degree
• At least 9 years of experience
• Oral and written proficiency in English required

Required Qualifications

• Extensive DevOps or platform engineering experience, including leading teams and owning delivery at scale.
• Current depth in AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Proven enterprise integration experience with security, identity, and governance constraints.
• Proven ownership of delivery outcomes and senior customer relationships.
• A clear strategy for productionising AI at scale (LLMOps/MLOps), including responsible AI, backed by delivery experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; decisive under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS enterprise-scale architecture experience.
• Enterprise AI and data platforms (Palantir Foundry, Databricks, Snowflake).
• A background in consulting or managed services.
• Experience in regulated industries.
• A leadership or delivery certification (e.g., PMP, SAFe).
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional and/or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional.
