Job summary

Acuity Analytics is seeking an experienced Forward Deployed Engineer to bridge engineering, product, and customer success. You will design, deploy AI-powered solutions in real-world environments and act as the technical owner from design through implementation.

You will work with customers and cross-functional teams to build scalable frontend (React) and backend (Python/Node.js) systems, emphasizing maintainability and reliability.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with React.js for frontend development.
• Strong backend development experience using Python and Node.js.
• Solid understanding of AI/ML concepts, including model lifecycle, inference, and real-world deployment considerations.
• Experience deploying AI-powered systems, such as LLMs, ML APIs, or data-driven applications.
• Proven experience in system integration, including REST APIs, webhooks, and external services.
• Experience deploying and supporting applications in production environments.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks and basic security practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end integration and implementation of AI-driven products into customer systems and workflows.
• Design, build, and deploy customer-facing applications using React (frontend) and Python (backend).
• Collaborate with Product, Data Science, and Platform Engineering teams using Agile methodologies.
• Troubleshoot production issues, optimize performance, and ensure reliability of deployed solutions.
• Act as a technical advisor to customers and promote best practices for AI-enabled solutions.

You will act as a technical owner from solution design through implementation, ensuring high-impact outcomes and customer satisfaction.

• Work directly with customers to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Design, build, and deploy customer-facing applications using React (frontend) and Python (backend)
• Design systems focusing on forward compatibility, scalability, and maintainability.

• Contribute to internal tooling, reusable components, and technical documentation.
• Write, test, and maintain code in accordance with organizational standards and project requirements.
