Job summary

Segula Technologies India invites an experienced Design Engineer for FoE - Hardware Integration in Chennai to lead product releases, own program change processes, and perform advanced data analysis and reporting across the vehicle hardware module.

You will manage BoM structuring and audits, coordinate PCN/WACTS reviews, track cost, EDT, and weight targets with finance and weight teams, and drive timely PPAP submissions and part/tool availability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience.
• Bachelor degree required.

Responsibilities

• Lead product releases and manage concerns and change management forms.
• Bill of Material (BoM) Management: develop and implement BoM structuring strategies, ensuring accuracy and alignment across build phases; maintain BoM quality through audits, validation, and issue resolution (PCNs/alerts).
• Program Change Management: track, analyze, and implement all program changes impacting the Vehicle Hardware Module (VHM); drive through defined processes and cadences; participate in review meetings (CMM, PCN, WACTS).
• Cost Weight Management: partner with finance and weight teams to align engineering assumptions; summarize, maintain, and track part cost, investment, EDT, and weight targets; support management reviews with detailed analysis.
• Part Planning Sourcing: manage all timed activities from prototype funding to PPAP submissions to ensure timely part and tool availability; lead sourcing with data integrity.

• Bill of Material (BoM) Management: Develop and implement BoM structuring strategies, ensuring accuracy, modularity, and alignment across all build phases. Maintain BoM quality through regular audits, validation activities, and issue resolution (PCNs/alerts).


• Program Change Management: Lead the tracking, analysis, and implementation of all program changes impacting the Vehicle Hardware Module (VHM), driving them through defined processes and cadences, and participating in relevant review meetings (CMM, PCN, WACTS).


• Cost Weight Management: Partner with finance and weight teams to align engineering assumptions, summarize, maintain, and track part piece cost, investment, EDT, and weight targets, and support management reviews with detailed analysis.


• Part Planning Sourcing: Manage and track all timed activities from prototype funding to PPAP submissions to ensure timely part and tool availability. Lead the sourcing process, ensuring data integrity and timely completion.


• Cross-Functional Leadership Reporting: Lead cross-functional alignment meetings for BoM structuring and P-Release. Consolidate and present comprehensive BoM, cost, and weight status reports, while proactively identifying and implementing process improvements and capturing lessons learned.
