Job summary

Siemens Energy India Ltd is seeking candidates for a fixed-term manufacturing role in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar. You will participate in assembling GIS products, follow production plans, and ensure safety on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with 1 year of apprentice experience.
• Ability to read and understand manufacturing and assembly drawings.
• Basic knowledge of switchgear and substation components.
• Lean Manufacturing concepts and continuous improvement basics.
• Proficient in MS Office; familiar with SAP and digital tools.
• Willing to work on an assembly line and rotate shifts.

Responsibilities

• Organize and manufacture products per the production plan.
• Assemble high voltage GIS components and sub-assemblies.
• Ensure assemblies meet quality norms per work instructions.
• Use tools and resources efficiently to meet defined norms.
• Address abnormalities promptly or escalate to the team.
• Maintain safety and EHS compliance on the shop floor.
• Support audits and quality improvement initiatives.
• Rotate across First, Second, and Night shifts.
• Participate in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement programs.
• Document issues, perform RCA, and implement corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot testing failures of GIS products.

The Challenge

• You'll be responsible to organize and manufacture of the product as per the production plan within the framework of policies and guidelines of Siemens Energy India Ltd with the objective of utilization of available resources.
• You'll Assemble the assemblies and sub-assemblies of High Voltage Gas Insulated Switchgear & Sub-assemblies IN ORDER TO execute manufacturing as per production plan.
• You'll ensure the assemblies are made as per the assembly work instruction IN ORDER TO ensure that defined quality norms are met.
• You'll ensure the tools and resources are used in efficient manner IN ORDER TO ensure that defined norms are met.
• You'll ensure the abnormalities/flaws are taken care during short time or communicated to concerned team member IN ORDER TO ensure that production plans are met in time.
• You'll work Ensuring adherence to safety and EHS norms on shop floor IN ORDER TO reduce accidents to ensure environmental protection on shop floor.
• You’ll act as support for Audits & Quality Improvements
• You’ll be flexible to work rotationally in all three shifts (First, Second, Night).
• You’ll participate in Lean Manufacturing initiatives, continuous improvement, compliance, corporate governance, and EHS programs.
• Document and address challenges observed during assembly, perform RCA, and implement CA to prevent recurrence.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in testing failed GIS products.
• Adhere to discipline while on duty

Qualifications, Knowledge/Skills, Experience:

• Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with 1 year of experience as an Apprentice.
• Ability to read and understand manufacturing and assembly drawings.
• Basic knowledge of switchgear and substation components.
• Strong team player with a positive learning attitude.
• English Language – Candidate must have professional written/verbal/interpersonal communication skills to communicate and interact effectively
• Environmental Health and Safety (EHS)– Knowledge of environmental health and safety regulations and procedures.
• Lean Manufacturing – Basic knowledge of lean principles
• Must possess strong digital literacy with self-directed learning of applications – like Lean, digitalization, Automation, MS office applications and SAP.
• Candidate willing to work on assembly line.
