Job summary

SBM Offshore in Bengaluru is seeking a Fleet Project Lead to oversee projects within the Fleet Personnel function, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure delivery within scope, time, quality and budget while aligning with long-term business objectives.

The role requires 5–10 years in maritime or Oil & Gas, a Master’s degree in Maritime Science, strong analytics, risk management, and experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and external partners.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Maritime Science required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all projects within Fleet Personnel ensuring delivery within scope, quality, time and budget constraints.
• Collaborate with offshore training & competency, crewing, operations, HSSE, HR, OIMs and HoDs to align with organizational goals.
• Lead cross-functional project teams, including third parties, guiding alignment with project goals.
• Monitor progress, identify issues, implement corrective actions, and report to stakeholders and senior management.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies; develop governance and conduct post-project analysis.
• Work closely with Process & Tool team to integrate project with the crew management tool.
• Provide recommendations on the Strategic orientations of the department projects based on industry standards and benchmarks.

Fleet Project Lead Purpose

The Fleet Project Lead is responsible for leading the project within the fleet personnel function, collaborating with cross-functional teams, to ensure that the project is implemented, enabling the local fleet and offshore organization to achieve its long-term business objectives.

Responsibilities

You oversee all the projects within Fleet Personnel department ensuring successful delivery within scope, quality, time, and budget constraints. You work closely with the offshore training & competency function, the crewing team, operations team, HSSE department, HR representatives, OIMs and offshore HoDs to understand their needs and align your project with organizational goals. You lead cross-functional project teams, including third parties, providing guidance and support to ensure alignment with project goals. You monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure project milestones are achieved. You monitor and report on project progress and performance, including identified risks and mitigation strategies, and provide regular updates to your stakeholders and senior management. You ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies. You develop and maintain project documentation and governance and conduct post-project analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of implemented solutions. You work very closely with the Process & Tool team to ensure integration of your project with the relevant crew management tool. You are responsible for providing recommendations on the Strategic orientations of the department projects based on the analysis of industry standards, regulations and benchmark.

Education

Master degree in relevant subject or equivalent, preferably in Maritime Science.

Experience

5-10 years in the maritime or the Oil & Gas, Energy or similar industry.
