Job summary

Shivtara Logistics Pvt. Ltd., the fleet arm of the Shivtara group, seeks two Fleet Maintenance In-charge professionals for Hyderabad and Vijayawada. You will own location fleet maintenance, plan PM schedules, and manage workshops with mechanics and vendors.

Candidate must have 5–10 years in truck maintenance, hands-on diesel/Bs-VI expertise, and a Diploma/B.Tech in Automobile/Mechanical or ITI with strong experience. Excel and fleet software proficiency is expected.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years in truck/commercial vehicle maintenance.
• 2–3 years leading a workshop or maintenance team.
• Experience with owned fleets (FMCG, food, agri, transport).

Responsibilities

• Own the maintenance of the fleet at your location and keep vehicles on the road.
• Plan and run the preventive maintenance schedule for every vehicle.
• Handle breakdowns quickly, including on-route support, and cut repeat breakdowns.
• Manage the workshop, mechanics, and outside garages and vendors.
• Control spares, tyres, batteries and lubricants; keep stock and records accurate.
• Track and reduce maintenance cost per km, tyre life and fuel efficiency.
• Keep vehicle documents current: fitness, permits, insurance, PUC.
• Keep job cards and service history in the system and share weekly reports.
• Work closely with the Operations team so vehicle downtime does not hurt deliveries.
• Report to the Head - Fleet & Logistics.

Shivtara Logistics Pvt. Ltd., the fleet arm of the Shivtara group (wheat flour milling, family business since 1920), runs about 70 commercial vehicles that move wheat and flour across South India. We are hiring two Fleet Maintenance In-charges - one based in Hyderabad and one based in Vijayawada.

Role & responsibilities

• Own the maintenance of the fleet at your location and keep vehicles on the road
• Plan and run the preventive maintenance (PM) schedule for every vehicle
• Handle breakdowns quickly, including on-route support, and cut repeat breakdowns
• Manage the workshop, mechanics, and outside garages and vendors
• Control spares, tyres, batteries and lubricants; keep stock and records accurate
• Track and reduce maintenance cost per km, tyre life and fuel efficiency
• Keep vehicle documents current: fitness, permits, insurance, PUC
• Keep job cards and service history in the system and share weekly reports

Key measures: fleet uptime, PM schedule adherence, repair turnaround time, breakdown frequency, maintenance cost per km.

Preferred candidate profile

• 5-10 years in truck / commercial vehicle maintenance, with at least 2-3 years leading a workshop or maintenance team
• Experience with an owned fleet (FMCG, food, agri, cement, transport companies) preferred
• Strong hands-on knowledge of diesel engines, BS-VI vehicles, tyres and electricals
• Diploma / B.Tech in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering, or ITI with strong experience
• Comfortable with Excel and fleet or maintenance software
• Telugu and Hindi preferred; English for reporting
• Willing to be on call for breakdowns and to travel between locations when needed
