Job summary

Clearwater in Mumbai is seeking a FIX Operations professional responsible for setting up FIX connections for new and existing clients, including OEMS and broker connections, and providing support for ongoing issues.

You will train internal and external stakeholders, coordinate with global teams, and drive onboarding projects with strong emphasis on FIX protocols, XML config, and migrations, while reporting status efficiently.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with FIX projects, certifications and migrations.
• Experience with FIX Protocol to manage the FIX client onboarding process and liaise with global teams.
• Reading and configuring XML files including algo definition language.
• Knowledge of equities and listed derivatives and the trade life cycle.

Job description

The Role:

The FIX Operations position is responsible for the setup of FIX connections for new and existing clients such as Dropcopy Connections, Certification of Broker, Algo Connections, Algo Migrations and Broker Connection Decommissions requests. This position will also provide support for existing clients on issues related to these connections.

What Youll Do:

• Create and perform training demos for both internal and external parties for OEMS topics and inquiries
• Communicate with client counterparties and serve as an escalation point as needed
• Work on projects related to FIX setup for client onboarding
• Candidates should have hands-on experience with the FIX projects, certifications & migrations
• Accurately and timely reporting of project status.
• Provide Day-to-Day support on OEMS broker connections like HT, DMA/Algo, Drop copy & Staging
• Provide second line support service to the production support team in FIX connectivity context

What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• Must have worked in Financial Services and Investment Technology: Buy-side (OMS, EMS, IMS) or Sell-side product design, development, deployment.
• Experience with FIX Protocol is a MUST to manage the FIX client onboarding process, liaise with global business and technology teams.
• In-depth knowledge of FIX Protocol and experience with client-facing and production support activities
• Experience in reading and configuring xml files which include algo definition language.
• Knowledge of asset classes such as Equities and Listed Derivatives
• Strong knowledge of trade life cycle of various instruments and products
• Strong client services skills demonstrated by excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Organized, detail-oriented, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks, prioritizing urgent matters and working independently
