Job summary

Sunrise Biztech Systems Pvt. Ltd. in Hyderabad is hiring a Firmware Tester to join our semiconductor validation team.

You will perform first level triage of firmware issues, reproduce them with engineers, and help drive closure in a fast-paced environment. The role requires Linux proficiency, knowledge of PCIe/UEFI/ACPI/SMBIOS, and a comfort with scripting (Perl/Python/Ruby) or C++/Assembly. Experience with Ethernet, SATA, DDR3 and related subsystems is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Proficient Linux knowledge with console and debugging.
• Strong understanding of server firmware initiatives (PCIe, ACPI, UEFI, SMBIOS).
• Experience with ARM preferred but not required; strong x86 background.
• Experience with scripting languages (Perl, Python, Ruby) and C++/Assembly.
• Knowledge of test methodologies and subsystems (Ethernet, SATA, DDR3, PCIe Gen1/Gen2, SPI, I2C).
• Experience with QA hardware tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, test fixtures).

Responsibilities

• Provide first level triage for firmware issues and reproduce with engineers.
• Assist in closure of issues through diagnostic testing.
• Work with Ethernet, SATA, PCIe and memory subsystem interfaces during validation.
• Utilize QA hardware tools to verify test setups.

Job Title: Firmware Tester

Location: Hyderabad

Duration: 12 Months Contract

• We are looking for someone with proficient knowledge of Linux and computer architecture as well as knowledge of server industry firmware initiatives such as PCIe, ACPI, UEFI, and JEDEC memory standards, the candidate will provide the first level of triage for each issue and interface with engineers to assist in reproduction and closure. ARM experience is preferred but not required with a strong x86 architecture background.
• A candidate with good debug methodology and some experience in scripting languages (PERL, Python, Ruby) and programming languages (C++/Assembly).
• Test methodologies and subsystems knowledge in 10/100/1G Ethernet, SATA, AHCI, DDR3, PCIe Gen1/Gen2, SPI, I2C BIOS/Firmware interfaces (UEFI/ACPI/SMBIOS). Optional but preferred experience in ARM, scripting and coding languages.
• Experience with QA hardware tools oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, test fixtures.
