Job summary

Signify in Pune, India, is seeking an experienced embedded software engineer to design and maintain firmware for microcontrollers. You will work across hardware and software interfaces, ensuring robust, secure embedded products.

Bring 10+ years of embedded experience, strong proficiency in C/C++, and knowledge of RTOS or BareMetal environments. Familiarity with HW schematics and debugging tools is essential for success.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of embedded software experience.
• Deep knowledge of C, C++, and microcontroller-based firmware.
• Experience with RTOS or BareMetal platforms and common peripherals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded firmware for MCUs.
• Read and interpret hardware schematics and designs.
• Debug and validate firmware using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and debuggers.
• Work with wireless protocols such as Zigbee/Bluetooth and networking stacks (MQTT, UDP/TCP/REST).

Critical Experiences:

Primary Skills:

• Yearsof experience: 10+ years.
• EmbeddedFirmware
• C Language (mandatory), C++ (added advantage)
• RTOS or BareMetal (non-RTOS) platform
• Knowledge of Microcontroller + Embedded peripherals (SPI, I2C, UART, Timers, DMA, ADC, GPIO, etc.)
• Embedded Protocols: SPI, I2C, UART.

Good to have Skill (Desirable):

• Proven embedded product design & development experience.
• Must beskilled to read HW schematics and understand HW design.
• Strong embedded FW debugging and troubleshooting skills with different debugging tools (such as Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzers, debuggers, etc.)
• Added advantage:
• Wireless Protocols - Zigbee, Bluetooth.
• Networking Protocols: MQTT, UDP, TCP, REST Protocols
• Python, Shell Scripting
• Knowledge of Cyber Security essentials for embedded products
